Due to several factors--first amongst those, finishing the book I've been working on--I'm taking a hiatus for the rest of the month of February. Check back in early March for more reviews!
I will be posting with the winners of the ARC giveaway in the next few days. I'm snowed in thanks to all the storms that have rolled through the Mid-Atlantic over the last week and a half. As soon as I know that postal service is up and running, I'll be announcing the winners and getting their ARCs to them.

Welcome to my thoughts on teen literature. I care about good writing, interesting characters, and intriguing plots.
I strive to review positively--I wouldn't review a book I didn't like--but I will also point out what I view as minor flaws.
Occasionally, I will post about a book I didn't like, but typically that only happens when I'm writing a series of reviews, like reviewing all the Morris Award shortlist.
I do not indicate spoilers; if you haven't read the book and don't want to be spoiled, you'd be best-served by not reading my review.

Ooh, you're writing a book? I'm interested in hearing more about it...
Yeah, I am--I've been working, for about nine months, on a reader's advisory guide to YA historical fiction. I have a firm deadline at the end of March to submit the revised manuscript, and I still have a lot of work to do. Thus, hiatus!
